Structural Geology and Tectonics Distinguished Lecturer Award

The purpose of the Fund is to recognize one or more dynamic mid-career scientists annually with the Structural Geology and Tectonics Distinguished Lecturer Award. Funds are to be used to offset travel costs for a series of lectures and may provide an honorarium for the awardee. SGT Division will appoint a committee to select awardees and help with the placement of two to three annual lectures, depending on the income from the fund. As the fund grows over time, the committee may add an additional awardee(s) each year rather than adding extra lectures for a single award recipient.
