Judy Totman Parrish, GSA Foundation Trustee and Professor Emerita at the University of Idaho, shares with us why she gives so generously of her time and resources to the Society.

What inspires you to give so freely of your time serving as a GSAF Trustee?

The GSA Foundation is a fully functioning and effective foundation that supports GSA’s programs. It is a pleasure to serve the Foundation and be a part of developing future resources for that support.

What motivates you to give to GSA?

GSA is a premier geological society that has strong and diverse programs to serve students. Its journals are among the top ones in our discipline, and the membership has a strong appreciation for the continued value of fieldwork, as well as the development and application of new technologies. The meetings are accessible, rigorous, and friendly.

What would you say to others thinking about making a financial commitment to the Society?

GSA is one place where you really can see the impact of your giving.
