The Roy J. Shlemon Mentor Program started in 1996. The program links practicing geoscientists to students and early career professionals interested in a career in applied geology. Through hosted luncheons, mentors discuss with students the opportunities and challenges within the field of applied geology. Students receive valuable career advice and insight into the hiring process.
